The acquisition boosts Healthe Care’s portfolio to 35 hospitals, and follows the company’s operational acquisition of Pulse Health’s 13 hospital portfolio earlier this month.
Healthe Care has signed a 25 year lease to operate the asset acquired by the Vital Healthcare Property Trust.
Hirondelle Private Hospital is a 53-bed private rehabilitation hospital 10km north-west of the Sydney CBD. Owned and operated by the same family since 1960, it has provided rehabilitation services to the north shore community since 1994.
The recently refurbished facility features a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool, and provides inpatient and day patient physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietary, podiatry and social welfare services.
Healthe Care Chief Executive Officer, Steve Atkins says the acquisition signifies the company’s commitment to investing in quality private hospital services in communities with high levels of ongoing demand.
